Our Craft

No Detail
Too Small
To Lose
Sleep Over.

Carlisle Customs Classics and Coachworks is a workshop where patience is the primary tool and no detail is too small to lose sleep over. From full-body restorations that honor a car's original character to custom coachwork and trim work that rewrites what the interior could have been, every project that rolls through these doors gets the same relentless attention.

This is not a volume shop. It is a place where extraordinary vehicles are made by hand, one uncompromising build at a time.

C.U.T. Custom Upholstery & Trim Division

The C.U.T. division handles everything from period-correct stitching to bold custom cabin builds, because the inside of a car deserves the same devotion as the outside.

Every
Discipline.
One Shop.

Three focused disciplines practiced under one roof, each executed with the same obsessive standard. No shortcuts, no outsourcing, no compromises on your car.

01

Customs & Restorations

Full-scope ground-up restorations and custom builds. Whether the goal is factory-correct authenticity or a reimagined vision, we bring the metalwork, bodywork, paint, and mechanical discipline to see it through.

02

C.U.T. Custom Upholstery & Trim

Our in-house upholstery and trim division handles every inch of the interior. Rolled and pleated leather, custom headliners, door panels, carpeting, and bespoke trim work built to match your vision.

03

Coachwork Fabrication

Custom panel fabrication, coach trim, and bespoke bodywork modifications that preserve the soul of a classic while expressing something entirely new. Shaped by hand, finished to exacting standards.

Landmark
Machines.

1948 Chevrolet Coupe build

Signature Build

1948 Chevrolet Coupe

A landmark build that showcases what happens when a tired postwar body meets modern technique and obsessive finishing. Every surface was addressed, every trim piece reconsidered, and the result is a coupe that stops rooms.

1954 Bel Air restoration

Signature Build

1954 Bel Air

The iconic two-tone silhouette restored to a standard that would have made the Motorama designers proud. Bodywork, chrome, interior, and mechanicals brought back in full with no shortcuts taken anywhere on the car.

1956 Nash Metropolitan custom

Signature Build

1956 Nash Metropolitan

Small in footprint, enormous in character. This Metropolitan received a full custom treatment that celebrates its quirky proportions while elevating every surface into something collectors genuinely covet.

The Method
Behind the Obsession.

01

Consultation

We start with a real conversation about the car, your vision, and what it could become. No price lists, no forms.

02

Assessment

A thorough inspection of every panel, surface, and system. We document what the car is before we decide what it will be.

03

Planning

A build plan crafted to the car and your goals, with honest timelines and a clear scope of work from first bolt to final detail.

04

Build

The work begins. Metal, paint, mechanical, and interior handled in-house, under one roof, with relentless attention at every stage.

05

Delivery

The car comes back to you finished to a standard that no shortcut could produce. Walk around it, open the doors, and feel the difference.

Ask Us.

Get in Touch

Do you take on all types of classic cars?

Every project is evaluated on its own merits. We are selective because we take on only the work we can do justice to. The best first step is a conversation about your specific car and goals.

How do I get a quote for my restoration?

Restorations are project-based and require an in-person assessment before we can discuss scope and investment. Reach out to schedule a shop visit and we will walk the car together.

What makes C.U.T. different from a standard trim shop?

C.U.T. is an in-house division, not a subcontracted service. That means the same people who built or restored the exterior of your car handle the interior, ensuring coherent craftsmanship across every surface.

Can you handle just the upholstery on a car I already own?

Yes. C.U.T. Custom Upholstery and Trim takes on standalone interior projects, from full cabin rebuilds to individual components like door panels, headliners, or custom seating.

How long does a full restoration typically take?

A ground-up restoration is measured in months, not weeks. We build the timeline honestly around the car's condition, the scope of work, and the standard of finish you are after. We will never rush a job to free up a bay.
