How do I get connected to mental health services in Maryland?
You can call or contact Maryland Behavioral Health Services directly. We will help you identify the right program or provider based on your location, needs, and situation at no cost to you.
Is there a cost to use your services?
Our connection and referral services are completely free. We help you navigate available programs, many of which are publicly funded or sliding-scale, so cost is never a reason to go without help.
What if I or someone I know is in a mental health crisis right now?
If there is immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in English and Spanish.
Do you serve families and caregivers as well as individuals?
Yes. We connect individuals, families, caregivers, and providers to the resources and programs that are right for their specific situation. You do not have to be the person in need to reach out.
What kinds of substance use support are available?
We can connect you with detox programs, residential treatment, outpatient counseling, peer recovery support, and medication-assisted treatment resources throughout Maryland.
Are services available in languages other than English?
Many of the programs we connect people with offer multilingual services. When you reach out, let us know your preferred language and we will find resources that can serve you appropriately.
